I thought maybe, MAYBE in 999.9 miles my trip odo would catch up to my regular odo but know. As my Mazda3 bore down on 100,000 miles this weekend, my failure glared me in the face.

Oh well, at least in 11,111.1 miles it’ll read all 1's!
If it doesn’t rust to dust by then :/

what year Mazda 3? I seem to recall they changed their surface prep process and had the rust concerns worked out by 2008 or so. my BIL has a 2008 3 which has been through Michigan winters and I don’t see any rust on it.

I was planning on doing exactly this in two cars this week, but also missed my first (and second) opportunities in the Touareg. It’s currently at 99,989, so shooting for 99,999 and 99.
The Boxster is at 49,4xx so hoping to get the 50,000 / 500 at 5:00PM and 5000 RPM.
